Sir: I read with interest the letter from exiled Hibernian Sam Iain McLaren (10 December). What Mr McLaren omitted to mention is that the record attendance in 1948 of 143,570, to which he refers, relates, as I understand it, to the record attendance of supporters of one club at a single game, in this instance supporters of Rangers. I believe there were 143,570 of them.
