Sir: While I also fear for the immediate future of the Norwich side, I am not so sure that the club chairman, Robert Chase, isn't a good deal smarter at selecting the right footballers to sell than you give him credit for (Do Norwich Need a Sales Drive?, 4 February).

A quick 'Where are they now?' analysis of the departed ones comes up with a fair number of those who have vanished into the footballing ether. Whither Robert Fleck, or Dale Gordon? pounds 600,000 for Robert Rosario?
