Sir: Was it not the failure to state the blindingly obvious in most reports of England's defeat of the All Blacks, that made Alan Watkins comments entirely relevant? Namely that, had the remarkably successful Kiwi goalkicker been playing, the result of a match decided on goal-kicking might well have been different.
