SPORTS LETTERS: Rugby fudge

Sir: It is not often that I have to reach for my dictionary when I read the sports pages (Steve Bale's Ghosts of '90 still haunt England, 15 March). To describe the England rugby team as a load of chopped meat [salmagundi] is a bit harsh even for a Welshman.
