Sports Letters: Unsporting behaviour

Sir: I deplore the behaviour of the mob on Court 14 towards Pete Sampras. After all that has been said and written about loutish behaviour of some of the stars, we have to witness rudeness afforded to a brilliant player who behaves with the utmost politeness. It was unacceptable from a host audience. I have written to Sampras in the hope that he does not have the opinion that all English tennis fans are potential hooligans.
