Squash: England seek play-off solace

ENGLAND'S defence of the world junior women's team championship ended in Kuala Lumpur yesterday when they lost 3-0 in the semi-finals to Australia.

The title, which England has won for eight of the competition's 10-year history, will be contested today between Australia and New Zealand while England meet Egypt in a play-off for third place.

'We just were not good enough to get past what is one of the best Australian junior teams I have seen,' Alex Cowie, the England manager, said.
