Swimming: Brew gets it right in the end
Paul Brew, the 29-year-old British international from Plymouth, learned from his earlier mistakes to win the 100m freestyle at the Welsh Long Course Championships in Cardiff. He had failed to qualify for the 200m final yet won the B final in a faster time than Neil Tait, of Portsmouth, the A race winner. In the 100m he stormed home in 53.39sec, with Tait 0.23sec behind.
