Celtic Swing, who had looked likely to make the line-up for the Dubai World Cup after the withdrawal of the Japanese horse, Taiki Blizzard, has been overlooked in favour of Australia's Danewin.
The connections of Celtic Swing, one of the reserves for the inaugural running of racing's richest race, could not confirm that he would be ready for the race on 27 March and the organising committee decided to select Danewin as he is regarded as a certain starter.
n Horses in the Grand National will now have to be declared to run 48 hours before the race, with reserves standing by to ensure a maximum field.
