Tennis: Graf free to fight another day
Heavy rain prevented any play yesterday at the DFS Classic at Edgbaston, where Steffi Graf was due to meet Nathalie Tauziat in the semi-final, writes Steve Tongue. The players knocked up for three minutes before convincing the tournament referee, Ann Jones, that the court was too wet. The organisers hope to play both the semi-finals and final today. But with more showers forecast, all three matches may have to be held over until tomorrow. Graf is due to play in the Direct Line tournament, which starts at Eastbourne on Tuesday.
