Latvia's Larisa Neiland reached her first WTA final of the year, ousting top seed Amanda Coetzer of South Africa 6-3 6-4 at the dollars 150,000 OTB Open in Schenectady, New York yesterday. In today's final Neiland, the reigning champion, plays the Austrian Judith Wiesner, who eliminated France's Nathalie Tauziat 4-6 6-3 6-3. In the ATP men's semi-finals, the American Chuck Adams and Jacco Eltingh of Holland advanced with straight-set victories. Adams eliminated Sweden's Jonas Bjorkman, while Eltingh beat Joern Renzenbrink of Germany. The top seed Alberto Berasategui defeated fellow Spaniard Jordi Arrese to reach the final of the dollars 400,000 Croatian Open. He will face eighth-seeded Karol Kucera of Slovakia, who defeated Austria's Horst Skoff to reach his first ATP final.
