Mary Pierce, the 19-year-old French player, cruised into the final of the Leipzig grand prix yesterday with a comfortable 6-2 7-5 victory over Austrian Judith Wiesner. In today's final, Pierce will meet Jana Novotna, who came through a hard-fought semi-final against Anke Huber 1-6 6-1 7-5.
