Britain's Oli Golding battled into the quarter-finals of the boys' singles at the French Open with a 6-3 3-6 6-2 victory over highly-rated American Marcos Giron today.
The 17-year-old often had long matches on the way to the semi-finals of Junior Wimbledon last year and it was the same again today before he pulled away in the deciding set.
Golding, who as the fourth seed is the highest-ranked player left in the tournament, will play another American, Bjorn Fratengelo, in the last eight.
