Johanna Konta's Asian run continues
Briton Johanna Konta's impressive form in Asia continued as she cruised into the third round of the Yinzhou Bank International Women's Open.
The Sydney-born British No 3 reached the quarter-finals of the Guangzhou Open last week, beating former world No 14 Shuai Peng along the way. And she was too strong for Poland's Katarzyna Piter, winning 6-1, 6-1 in just 65 minutes. Next up for the 22-year-old is a match with Sweden's Johanna Larsson, who beat third seed Lourdes Dominguez Lino.
Meanwhile, an ITF anti-doping tribunal has found that Marin Cilic hid behind the excuse of a knee injury to withdraw from this year's Wimbledon to avoid negative publicity after failing a doping test.
