Andy Murray will try to win his fourth title triumph in a row next week – at Roger Federer's hometown tournament in Basle. The Scot, whose winning run has justresulted in him replacing the Swiss at No 3 in the world rankings, has taken a wild card into the event whose highly competitive field includes Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish and Tomas Berdych.
In Barnstaple, the 2008 Wimbledon junior champion Laura Robson could not follow up her victory over British rival Heather Watson and went out of the Aegon GB Pro-Series tournament, beaten 6-4, 6-4 by Russia's Ekaterina Bychkova, the world No 169.
But the British No 3 Anne Keothavong beat the Swiss Stefanie Voegele 6-3, 7-6 to earn a semi-final with the German top seed Mona Barthel.
