Rusedski loses battle of the big-hitters
Greg Rusedski crashed out of Wimbledon in a three sets to love defeat by Goran Ivanisevic.
Ironically, he fell to what he has given out in the past: a fusillade of unstoppable volleys.
Rusedski became increasingly frustrated at his failures to break the Ivanisevic service. He lost the first set 7-6 on the tie-break, and went down 6-4 on the second. A controlled Ivanisevic won the third set 6-4 for a place in the quarter-finals.
The game lasted less than one-and-a-half hours.
