Stan Wawrinka's victory against Novak Djokovic in the 2015 French Open final may have surprised many - but when one takes a look at one of the most audacious backhands ever seen, it's not too difficult to see why the Swiss triumphed.

Many may write about how the Sebrian world no. 1 still cannot get his hands on the French Open - the one Grand Slam that has evaded him - while others will note the tears in Djokovic's eyes as he received a huge ovation on the podium, despite ultimately losing.

Yet on social media, it was the Serb's around the net backhand in the third set that got many fans and viewers talking, the stunning shot that proved the 30-year-old Swiss player deserves to be mentioned on a par with his compatriot Roger Federer, and should in turn make the "Big Four" the "Big Five".

Wawrinka beat Djokovic 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday to give the eight-seeded player his first French Open title and second Grand Slam victory. While behind Federer, Nadal and Djokovic's 17, 14 and eight respective Grand Slams, he is now level with Andy Murray on two.

The 30-year-old beat the top two seeded men to seal victory at Roland Garros (Djokovic and Federer) as well as bringing to an end the Serbian's 28-match winning streak.
