British hopes on day three at Wimbledon lie with Liam Broady and Heather Watson, with the temperature set to soar at SW19.

Broady takes on David Goffin on court three while British No 1 Watson takes on Slovakia's Daniela Hantuchova. Watson took two days to get through her first-round match after it was delayed on Monday due to bad light. She will be hoping for a speedier route through today.

Elsewhere, Venus Williams is up against Yulia Putintseva from Kazakhstan, with the former Wimbledon champion knowing a win would see her potentially face her sister, Serena. Defending men's champion Novak Djokovic will also be in action today on Centre Court.

All this will happen on a day when the record for the hottest temperature recorded at Wimbledon - 34.6 degrees in 1976 - could be broken.

Here, James Olley fills you in on all the day's standout events...
