The number of hryvna (pounds 32,000) that Ukrainian gold medallists at the Winter Olympics in Nagano will receive. Though nine golds were won at the 1996 Summer Olympics, Ukraine is weaker in winter sports, with the best chances being in skating, biathlon, freestyle skiing and luge.
