Turf springs back
Wincanton was abandoned because of frost yesterday but jump racing looks set to resume today. Both Haydock and Kempton are hopeful.
Philip Arkwright, clerk of the course at Haydock, said yesterday afternoon: "There are no problems. There is no frost forecast." At Kempton, where there will be an inspection at 7.30am, a course spokesman said: "We're very hopeful, it is mild and sunny, there is no snow and no frost in the ground."
Doncaster and Musselburgh also expect to stage their turf jump meetings tomorrow.
