Conor McGregor claims he is back on UFC 200 bill

Conor McGregor claims he will now fight at UFC 200 following last week's falling out with the event's organisers.

The Irishman was due to fight Nate Diaz, who beat him in a welterweight contest in March, in Las Vegas in July.

However, last week McGregor hinted that he was to retire and UFC president Dana White confirmed that the 27-year-old had been removed from the bill amid a dispute over promotional obligations.

It seems though that McGregor has resolved his differences with the MMA organisation.

"Happy to announce that I am back on UFC 200," said McGregor on Twitter.

He added: "Shout out to Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta on getting this one done for the fans. Respect."

The original dispute related to McGregor allegedly refusing to fly to Las Vegas to participate in a press conference and photoshoot. The featherweight champion instead chose to focus on his training ahead of his fight with Diaz.

McGregor tweeted "I have decided to retire young. Thanks for the cheese" in what was the most retweeted post of any athlete in 2016. Two days later he released a statement to confirm "I am not retired." However, he remained off the bill for UFC 200, the biggest event in the history of the MMA organisation.

UFC is yet to make an official statement over whether McGregor has been reinstated to the bill for the 9 July event.
