One of the UFC fighters injured in the violent backstage melee instigated by Conor McGregor has reportedly filed a police report against the Irishman.

McGregor was driven to a New York City courtroom on Friday afternoon to be arraigned on three charges of assault and one charge of criminal mischief, after he became involved in an altercation at the UFC 223 press day.

A video of the incident, widely circulated on social media, appears to show McGregor and his large entourage using a metal sack barrow and other objects to smash windows on a bus filled with fighters departing from the event.

Both Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg were in jured by smashed glass in the fracas, with TMZ Sports claiming the former has filed a police report against McGregor.

Chiesa was forced to withdraw from his lightweight fight with Anthony Pettis due to lacerations to his face and head, while Borg suffered multiple cornea abrasions, scuppering his flyweight contest against Brandon Moreno.

UFC president Dana White earlier warned McGregor that he will likely be hit by several lawsuits, due to injuries caused by his actions as well as loss of earnings.

“The police are going to take care of Conor,” White said after the incident.

“The police are going to handle Conor, and I know a handful of people here already that are filing lawsuits against Conor McGregor. God knows how many lawsuits he’s going to have by the time this is done.

“What happened today was criminal, disgusting, despicable, makes me sick, and we as an organization need to make sure that this never happens again.”
