Conor McGregor vows to kickstart UFC's 2020

Conor McGregor beat Donald Cerrone in stunning fashion at UFC 246, knocking the veteran fighter out after 40 seconds of the first round.

McGregor used his shoulders while being clinched to break Cerrone’s nose before following up with a kick which saw the writing placed on the wall.

The Irishman then followed up with a ground and pound before the referee stepped in to put Cowboy out of his misery.

Speaking in the ring to Joe Rogan after the fight, McGregor demanded respect.

“It was a good shot. It feels very good, I made history tonight. I said on the record that I would be the first UFC fighter to secure knockouts in three divisions. I’m very, very happy and proud tonight. The work has been phenomenal, I appreciate you all.

“I’m so happy. UFC can strip fighters and give fighters make believe belts but they can take away knockout finishes.

“Who’s going up and down divisions and stopping people like that? I’m very proud of my performance tonight. Etch my name in history tonight!

“Anyone of these mouthy little fools can get it!”
