Conor McGregor vs Khabib: BT Sport fight stream replay confuses British UFC fans
British fight fans staying up late to watch McGregor's showdown with Khabib were left confused by a full replay of an earlier preliminary fight being shown shortly after 2am

British fight fans were left confused in the early hours of Sunday morning by BT Sport’s coverage of UFC 229.
Conor McGregor’s eagerly anticipated lightweight title fight with undefeated champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to headline UFC 229, after seven preliminary bouts and four main card fights.
And fans watching on television were left confused when the second fight of the evening – Nik Lentz’s explosive knockout victory over Gray Maynard – was suddenly replayed shortly after 2am.
That left fight fans panicking they had missed out on Sergio Pettis’ flyweight clash with Jussier Formiga – which wasn’t the case.
Instead, the final prelim fight had been held back owing to the two preceding fights finishing in the first round and the main card not being scheduled to start until 3am GMT.
And the Pettis vs Formiga fight was duly shown after the replay and a commercial break.
The main card will then start with Michelle Waterson’s strawweight fight with Felice Herrig. Expect the main event to begin between 4-5am. It’s going to be a long night.
