McGregor tells Khabib to smash him if he can

Conor McGregor’s team has arrived in Las Vegas ahead of the Irishman’s eagerly anticipated lightweight title showdown with Khabib Nurmagomedov – and they’re going to be kicking back in style.

McGregor takes on Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 on October 6, when he will attempt to reclaim the lightweight title.

And ahead of the bout – which is expected to become the highest-grossing in the history of the UFC – McGregor’s team have settled into a plush Las Vegas mansion while they help their man get ready.

McGregor’s long-term striking coach Owen Roddy was keen to show off the team’s new digs on Instagram, sharing several pictures of the incredible house that will host the team.

It’s not yet clear whether McGregor is also staying at the sprawling property, as he prepares to make his long-anticipated return to mixed martial arts. McGregor has not fought in the UFC since November 2016, instead deciding to fight Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match last year.

The mansion comes equipped with a huge outdoor pool as well as a pool table, table tennis and table football – ensuring McGregor’s squad won’t be stuck for things to do when they are not training.

In a video showing off the mansion, McGregor’s team also made sure to show off an incredibly well-stocked fridge, with the Irishman no doubt keen to bulk up to ensure he does not succumb to Nurmagomedov’s superior wrestling skills.
