NBA meets WWE as Memphis Grizzlies beat Portland Trail Blazers

The Mephis Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers met in the first game of their West Conference play-off series last night.

It was an ugly night for the travelling Blazers, who eventually succumbed to a 100-86 defeat.

But some of the biggest cheers of the night came during the half-time show when Memphis mascot Griz and another mascot in a Blazers vest partook in some WWE-style wrestling.

Griz produced Randy Orton's famous 'RKO' finisher before putting the mascot on a table and climbing to the top of a ladder to body slam him through it.

Game two of the series takes place again in Memphis on Wednesday night.
