French forward sends message of support to 'victims of this horror'

French NBA star Nicolas Batum wore a 'Je Suis Charlie' t-shirt to support the victims of the terrorist attack on the Charlie Hebdo building in Paris.

The 26-year-old (above, pic via Erik Gunderson), a member of the French national team who was born in Lisieux, Lower Normandy, wore the black t-shirt ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers' win against the Miami Heat last night.

Batum, who scored eight points in a comprehensive 99-83 win, also Tweeted that earlier this week that he was "increasingly outraged by human stupidity ... Big thought to all the families and victims of this horror".

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said he was "absolutely shocked" by the "dreadful and terrible" situation.

Last month, a number of NBA players wore 'I Can't Breathe' t-shirts to show support to Eric Garner.
