Worthing Bears directors yesterday made it clear the Budweiser League club will be wound up next week unless a cash injection of pounds 25,000- pounds 30,000 can be found. The Bears, three-time Wembley championship play- off winners from 1993, are facing a desperate battle for survival after Worthing Borough Council rejected their last plea for financial support.

Chris Finch, the Sheffield Sharks coach, has signed the 6ft 6in guard Mark Robinson from Budweiser League rivals Manchester Giants.
