Bahhare, favourite for the 1997 2,000 Guineas, is to spend the winter in Dubai. The unbeaten colt is expected to leave John Dunlop's Sussex yard in the next few weeks as part of a team of up to 20 two-year- olds owned by Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum.
Unlike Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin operation, however, Bahhare will return to his original trainer next spring after benefiting from the climate, as will the other horses involved in the operation.
