Richie Woodhall has revealed he will not be retiring from the ring after his failure to win the World Boxing Council world middleweight title.
The Telford fighter was beaten by Keith Holmes in Maryland on 19 October, but the former European and Commonwealth champion has confirmed he is planning to make a return to the ring in early 1997, after further surgery on his elbow. The 28-year-old needed an operation to remove fragments of floating bone from his elbow just over a week before meeting Holmes.
