A plethora of new games at the Electronic Entertainment Expo

Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo are all scheduled to reveal major new developments in console gaming at Los Angeles' Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), June 14-17, and what better way than to support them than with a wealth of gaming delights?

Microsoft are set to reveal a motion-tracking camera that does away with the need for any hand-held controllers on Xbox 360. Given the success of fitness games and Ubisoft's Just Dance on the Wii, it's a safe bet that healthy activity games will make a big entrance. Electronic Arts have EA Sports Active on their roster, which could well make the leap to Xbox 360.

Offerings for the more traditional 360 gamer include the highly anticipated Fable III, Gears of War 3, and Halo: Reach, all of which should take up major screen-time during Microsoft's June 14 presentation.

Electronic Arts have a host of sports titles expected to make it into their slot on the same day. FIFA soccer, Madden American football, Tiger Woods' golf, NBA Jam, and their Mixed Martial Arts title are scheduled.

In addition, they have several new titles to show off: there's the new Medal of Honor game, and they clinched a publishing deal with key staff who had worked on the super-successful Modern Warfare games.

Nintendo have kept quiet about upcoming goodies on the DS. That's because their new DS, with its 3D display, is likely to be a show-stealer. On the Wii, more details regarding Wii Party, Metroid Prime: Other M, and a new Legend of Zelda game are awaited.

Sony's presentation should be brimming with games intended to push the power of 3D on home consoles. A version of 2008's Motorstorm: Pacific Rift has been at least partially retrofitted with 3D capabilities, and it's thought that Motorstorm 3 will be fully 3D-compatible.

Good news regarding Gran Turismo 5's release is sorely needed, four years after its E3 debut, and it too is likely to support both 3D and Sony's new PlayStation Move motion controller. There's also LittleBigPlanet 2 and Killzone 3, both of which have been teased in recent weeks.

Konami have teamed up with record label Def Jam for Rapstar, a rap-themed karaoke game, and legendary franchise Castlevania is also due to make a comeback.
