A tumultuous couple of months for bitcoin saw the cryptocurrency hit a new all-time high before losing more than half its value in a spectacular crash that rippled through the market.

Its volatile price movements have been mirrored by other leading cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum (ether), Cardano (ada) and Binance Coin.

To help make sense of this chaotic time, The Independent has invited two experts to provide insight and offer their forecasts for the space.

Dr Paul Ennis, an assistant professor at University College Dublin whose research focusses on cryptocurrency, and Fred Schebesta, a crypto advocate and founder of comparison platform Finder.com, will join us.

They will give readers of TheIndependent an opportunity to ask anything they like about bitcoin and the crypto space.

What impact will El Salvador’s decision to adopt bitcoin as legal tender have? Are we going to see a record-breaking recovery following the latest crash? And what developments in the DeFi and crypto world are they most excited about?

Put your questions below and we’ll put as many as we can to our experts during a live stream that will be available to all registered users.

All you have to do is register to submit your question by 10am on Thursday (17 June) in the comments below.

If you’re not already a member, click “sign up” in the comments box to leave your question. Don’t worry if you can’t see your question – they’ll be hidden until we post the live stream recording in this article.
