The latest batch of player ratings for Fifa 19 include the games two quickest players so far, with pace ratings almost 40 points higher than other top players.

EA Sports, the game's developer, is counting down the top 100 players, unveiling players ranked 100 to 81 on Thursday and 80 to 61 on Friday.

Several Premier League players feature in the list of 40 players, including Raheem Sterling, Vincent Kompany and Virgil Van Dijk.

Liverpool's £56 million summer signing Alisson also appeared on the list, with an overall rating of 85.

But fans of the game were quick to point out that some of the older players listed have significantly reduced ratings for pace.

LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who turns 37 next month, has a pace rating of just 59, while 31-year-old Arturo Vidal has an even lower rating of 57.

Vincent Kompany, 32, of Manchester City has the worst-rated pace of the players listed, scoring a sluggish 56.

On the other end if the scale, Leroy Sane and Douglas Costa each have 95 pace, making them the quickest players in the game so far.

The biggest debates still lie ahead, with the announcement of the top 10 likely to spark fierce discussions across social media.

Alongside the usual crop of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar, several Premier League stars could feature in the top 10. Hopefuls include Mo Salah, Eden Hazard and England's Harry Kane.
