Technology website Tech Crunch is reporting that Google will pay Apple at least $1bn (£629m) next year to be the default iOS search engine.
According to the site, Morgan Stanley Facebook analyst Scott Devitt believes that the price hike (Google only paid $82 million in 2009 for the same deal) is due to a per-device deal growing every year. Accorsing to the site, although the companies are frenemies, it's a mutually beneficial deal.
