Feeling a little out of touch with the current social networking trend sweeping the globe? Not to worry, a new series of books will help you connect with online friends.

Book publisher Wiley has teamed up with the largest social networking site in the world, Facebook, to create a new set of hardcover books that will teach older generations how to navigate the often-frightening online world.

The Facebook Guide For People Over 50 and The Facebook Guide For Parents have both been written to help users of all ages stay safe online while they learn to connect with their friends, relatives, former colleagues, and fellow alumni.

A third title, The Facebook Guide to Small Business Marketing, assists small and local businesses to make the most of Facebook's marketing features.

"The Facebook Guide series shares the ins and outs behind the world's most popular social networking service," explained Wiley in a July 21 press release.

"For both beginners and professionals, this series guides readers through hands-on step-by-step processes and best practices. The series has a book for anyone with an interest in Facebook that wants to get started or take their experience to a higher level."

The Facebook Guide For People Over 50 (€16.70) will be available in November, T he Facebook Guide To Small Business Marketing (€16.70) in December, and The Facebook Guide For Parents (price n/a) will be out in January 2011.
