Ubisoft has released a trailer for its upcoming sequel to the best-selling hit Just Dance on Nintendo Wii, Just Dance 2. Thanks to a clever marketing campaign and word-of-mouth buzz, the original became the fastest-selling new game for the Wii made by a company other than Nintendo themselves - 3 million copies shifted since the November 2009 release - and the French publishers will be hoping for a repeat performance.

There will be competition, though, as Sony and MTV have picked up on the home dance craze with titles in the works for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 respectively.

Sony's SingStar karaoke games are to receive a makeover with SingStar Dance, which will award both melody and movement thanks to its integration with the special PlayStation 3 Move controllers.

Harmonix, which develops MTV's Rock Band games, has also recently revealed plans to add a gyrational twist to its musical know-how: Dance Central can teach players how to look good on the dance floor with a variety of choreographed moves, thanks to the Xbox 360's upcoming Kinect camera accessory.

All three games are expected on store shelves before the end of the year, with Just Dance 2 confirmed for an October 14 release, Dance Central shaping up for a November debut, and SingStar Dance as of yet undated.
