LM - Banking Apps Down: Lloyds and Halifax

Lloyds, Halifax and the Bank of Scotland’s online banking apps have stopped working.

The outage comes on the last day of the month, the UK’s most common payday.

“Sorry about this,” Lloyds told one affected customers on X/Twitter. “Some customers are having issues with our app right now. Bear with us as we fix this.”

Halifax suggested that users might find that the app is “taking a bit longer than usual to get logged on at the moment”. It advised affected customers to “wait a few extra moments or give logging on another try”.

It idd however say that some customers might be hit by more lasting errors, and directed them to the website if they continued to have problems.

The Bank of Scotland gave similar advice to affected customers.

All three of the affected banks are part of the Lloyds Banking Group.
