Finalists in the same seven categories at the Canadian Videogame awards, Mass Effect 2 took home four while Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood won two.
Electronic Arts' Mass Effect 2 was named Canadian Game of the Year, winning awards for Best Console Game, Best Game Design, and Best Writing.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, a Ubisoft title, clinched Best Audio and Best Visual Arts.
It was Kinect for Xbox 360 that prevented the two games from dominating their categories, as Microsoft's hands-free control system was given Best Technology.
The iPad game Osmos was Best Mobile Game; Deathspank won Best Downloadable for its outing on PC, PS3 and 360; while the Facebook version of Pocket God was best Social/Casual game.
