Every year people create "wish lists" on Amazon's online store, hoping their friends and family will purchase these gifts for them. Amazon has compiled a list of most wished for electronics products by country, featuring the top 10 most requested electronics products in the USA, Germany, the UK and France.

At the top of Amazon's most wished for lists are Apple's iPod Touch, Canon's Digital SLR EOS 7D Camera, Samsung's S5230 Star smartphone and WD Elements Desktop WDE1UBK10000 External Hard Disk.

Products from Apple are among the most requested gifts throughout all the featured countries, with many different products from the company appearing in the lists including the iPod Touch, the Magic Mouse and the iPod Nano. Products from popular electronics brands Samsung and Canon also appear in the lists.

Apple's iPod Touch is the most consistently appearing gift across all four countries. The device has the ability to please music lovers, game players and people wanting an e-reader, making it one of the most wanted presents this year.

This Christmas many people in the US wish to receive Digital SLR cameras by Canon. Those in Germany would prefer to receive electronics gifts made by electronics manufacturer Samsung.
