Nintendo Direct: Latest presentation details the future of switch with peeks at Mario Tennis, Donkey Kong and Dark Souls
Mario will appear in 'classy tennis garb'

Nintendo has revealed a whole range of games for the Switch, including a new Mario game.
The latest Nintendo Direct – regular presentations where the company shows the latest updates to fans – included the presentation of Mario Tennis Aces, Dark Souls, Donkey Kong Country and Kirby Star Allies. And there were update for existing games, such as a new mode for the hugely popular Super Mario Odyssey.
That final update will become available in February, and requires players to first update the full game. When they do, Mario's brother Luigi will appear, and allow players to play an entirely new minigame called Balloon World.
When players talk to Luigi, the game will start up. In the first part, they'll be told to hide a balloon somewhere in the game's world; they'll then play the second half, where they'll try and find other balloons left by players from around the world.
That comes alongside another Mario update: tennis. Mario Tennis Aces is a new game that will see Mario step "onto the court in classy tennis garb for intense rallies against a variety of characters in full-blown tennis battles".
Nintendo has made a series of Mario Tennis games for its various different consoles, but this is the first for the Switch and the first to have a full story mode since the one made for the Game Boy Advance. It will come out in Spring.
The other new games include Dark Souls, Donkey Kong Country and Kirby Star. Dark Souls will be the classic game remastered for the Switch, just like Donkey Kong; Kirby Star is a new release in the popular Kirby series.
The full presentation can be watched on Nintendo's special website, which also allows access to previous presentations.
