The news that Duke Nukem Forever will be coming out of the wilderness after 13 years in development hell prompted renewed interest in Duke Nukem 3D, the 1996 game that inspired part of the playable demo seen at the PAX Expo, September 3-5.

Though the game was on special offer at Good Old Games until September 1 as part of a promotion on Apogee titles - the Duke Nukem publisher at the time - Duke Nukem 3D was the only discounted game to make it into the online store's top five for the week, showing how interest had spiked after the PAX announcement.

King's Bounty was another series experiencing an increase in sales as both King's Bounty: Crossworlds and King's Bounty: The Legend found themselves in chart positions.

King's Bounty: The Legend, itself a 2008 remake of the 1990 PC original, is cheap almost everywhere, as a result of being superseded not only by 2009's King's Bounty: Armored Princess, but also King's Bounty: Crossworld, due out on or shortly after September 17.

Also doing well is Worms Reloaded, which polishes the well-loved Worms formula - first seen in 1995 - for a 2010 crowd.
