Ell/Nikki may have won the Eurovision song contest with their performance of "Running Scared" on May 14, but it has taken the duo from Azerbaijan until May 17 to conquer the YouTube charts.
Ell/Nikki won the annual Eurovision song contest in Germany after receiving 221 points for their English-language power ballad "Running Scared"; Italy's Raphael Gualazzi took second place and Eric Saade from Sweden came in third.
According to custom, the following year's event is held in the capital city of the winners' home country - in this case, Baku.
A video of the winning performance, titled " Ell/Nikki - Running Scared (Winners of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest)," was uploaded by Eurovision on May 14, and as of May 17 the video had attracted more than 900,000 views and was the day's most watched video on YouTube.
Despite being a European contest, YouTube statistics show that the video is more popular with viewers in Asia, Northern America and Australia.
