Twitter index: BMW shows off pictures of its i8 and i3 electric cars

BMW is flaunting pictures of its "sex-on-wheels" i8 and i3 concept cars on Twitter and Tweeps are impressed.

The "BMW i3 Concept and BMW i8 are just amazing wow," comment microbloggers, also saying that "That's [what] modern vehicle design should look like."

"#arentyoutiredof" remains unchanged in Twitter's list of most talked about topics on August 2 and is followed by "#thereisalwaysthat1person," which moves up one rung to third place. "#umustbecrazy" is new in number four.

Microbloggers continue to write very early Christmas wish lists to Santa with the trending topic "Dear Santa."

The animated TV show " Phineas & Ferb" is trending in sixth place, "???" (Russian for the Russian Airborne Troops) is in seventh place, and "BGC" (short for the American TV show Bad Girls Club) is in tenth place.

The name of Turkish football player "Emre Belözo?lu" takes eighth place in Twitter's most talked about topics and the name of American stand-up comedian "Mike Epps" follows at number nine.
