Windows Mobile and BlackBerry users pay the highest prices for games
Consumers with a Windows Mobile or BlackBerry device are paying more per game on average than those with an iPhone, Android, or Nokia device.
The average price of applications in the games category in Windows Marketplace for Mobile and BlackBerry App World stores is $4.91 and $4.60 respectively.
Android-powered device users are paying only $2.80 for their games at the Google Android Market and Apple device users $2.24 for their average game app purchase from the Apple App Store. Nokia users sit in the middle of the scale, paying around $3.37 per game on the Nokia Ovi Store.
The information formed part of mobile application market researcher Distimo's January 2010 report on mobile marketplaces. The report was published on February 25.
