CCTV captures the moment four robbers almost lose the safe they stole
'Although the men are all wearing balaclavas, we still hope that someone may recognise one of the men'
A group of thieves who stole a safe from a service station in Oldham almost lost their bounty because they failed to shut the boot of their car properly.
CCTV caught them as they dragged it out and struggled to lift it into their getaway vehicle at the Co-Op service station in the early hours of 27 February. As they drive away the boot is flung open, as appears it wasn't shut properly.
“Although the men are all wearing balaclavas, we still hope that someone may recognise one of the men or have some information that could help us with our investigation," said Detective Constable Zahir Hussain from Greater Manchester Police.
