l IT IS a pity that you chose to follow up your excellent article "Warning: Ecstasy causes amnesia" (7 January) with "Ecstasy kills teenager at club" (14 January). This ignores the fact that there is to date no reported death caused directly by Ecstasy. How many times must it be said? Education and facts are the solution.

l WHERE are the "blips" in the craniosacral system, a system not in any anatomy book ("The gentle touch", 14 January)? Massage is pleasant. It is not surprising it eases conditions such as asthma that have an important psychological overlay. There is no need to invest it with imaginary pathways to unblock. Dr Neville W Goodman

l ALAN Cram (Letters, 7 January) is mistaken in saying that the Family Railcard is being scrapped, it recently benefited from a promotion with Thomas the Tank Engine. There are no plans to withdraw the railcard, although Mr Cram's letter will do nothing to encourage sales.
