Party pooper

In Ann Widdecombe's Diary (9 May) she talked of David Owen and David Steel as jointly leading the SDP in 1983. In 1983, David Steel was leader of the Liberal Party.

Seven year glitch

Roy Hattersley began his review of the new Tony Crosland biography (Culture, 9 May)with the words, "15 years after his death...". Tony Crosland died on 19 February 1977, 22 years ago.
