A chef on trial for his wife’s murder in Los Angeles told investigators that they couldn’t find his wife’s body because he had cooked it for four days in boiling water.
Chef David Viens said only her skull was left afterwards, which he hid in his mother's attic.
“That’s the only thing I didn’t want to get rid of in case I wanted to leave it somewhere,” he admitted, according to the Los Angeles Times.
But when police searched the house, nothing was found.
This is the second week of the murder trial, where the chef is wheelchair-bound after a suicide attempt last year, when he found out police suspected him of his wife's murder and jumped off an 80-foot cliff.
