Justin Bieber has brought the wrath of Lindsay Lohan upon his young head after a rant posted on Instagram concluded with a dig at the Hollywood hellraiser’s financial affairs.

The message, uploaded to Bieber’s Instagram last night, churns through 250 words of grievance with the press and associated haters before ending with an unprompted jab at Lohan.

Anyone who compares young Mr Bieber with the Mean Girls star, writes Bieber, should “look at her 2012 tax statements”. (And that, Beliebers, is how to kick somebody when they’re down). The post was later edited to remove mention of Lohan and Bieber apologised.

Sources close to Lohan have let it be known she felt the teen’s comments were “senseless and mean”.

“Everyone in my team has been telling me, ‘keep the press happy’ but I'm tired of all the countless lies in the press right now. Saying I'm going to rehab and how my family is disappointed in me. My family is beyond proud...and rehab cmon, if Anyone believes i need rehab thats their own stupidity lol...
