Among the announcements of the Budget, George Osborne has introduced a £2,000 cut for employers from their National Insurance contributions, in an effort to make it cheaper to employ new staff. Independent columnist John Rentoul has tweeted that the actual saving will amount to £150 per employee. Will this have a substantial effect on unemployment?
