JUST HOW does Jack Straw propose to draw the blinds on the private lives of the Royal Family ('Time to change the rule', 17 July) now that vast sums are made from appalling intrusions into personal privacy? We are all becoming increasingly subject to the tyranny of an unelected media. MPs should have the guts to face up to this threat to our democracy, instead of nit-picking over the Queen's theoretical powers.
